Your first day, like a Parisian

Day One in Paris 1h30

180 €

An hour and a half in a 2CV to see Paris and learn its rules: cafés, tipping, the metro, the scams. You leave with your survival kit.

What awaits you

the highlights

See Paris and learn how it works

The golden rule

Bonjour, coffee, the bill

Why everything starts with "bonjour", what "un café" really means, and why the bill never comes on its own.

Around town

Reading Paris on the move

How to read a Haussmann façade, survive the Étoile roundabout, and ride the metro with the right ticket.

The traps

What guidebooks don't tell you

The shell game at Trocadéro, the fake petitions, the pickpockets: I show you where and how, so you can laugh about it instead.

The stops

We stop the engine, you step out

Two photo stops where we actually park: Trocadéro and Bir-Hakeim Bridge. I take the photos with your phone and point out the scams to avoid along the way.

At the end, I hand you your "Day One in Paris" survival kit: the golden rules, the useful words and the traps to avoid, to keep for your whole stay.

Want real photos? I'm also a professional photographer.

Your questions

Frequently asked questions

Where do we meet?

Place de l'Odéon, Paris 6th (Odéon metro, lines 4 and 10). I send you the exact spot and my number the day before. I can also pick you up at your hotel for an extra charge.

What's in the survival kit?

A "Day One in Paris" card to keep with you: the golden rules of Parisian manners, the useful words and the traps to avoid.

Is the price really the same for 2 or 3 people?

Yes. The price is per car, not per person: up to 3 passengers ride for the same price.
